Vehicle Description
‘41 Willys pickups have long been a favorite platform for hot rodding. So to stand out, a new build has to be done to a supreme level. This one is. Featured in numerous publications, and the winner of multiple awards, this Willys has the looks and the hardware to make it a standout anywhere. The engine compartment houses a big block 502 GM Performance Parts Ramjet with 510 horsepower and plenty of chrome and polish. A sturdy Turbo 400 automatic works between the big motor and a narrowed Currie 9-inch Ford. The truck is built on a tube frame with custom suspension and a polished Art Morrison front clip. The highly modified body is all steel. And the PPG Pearl Orange is simply perfect. State-of-art engineering culminates in the fitment of huge 18-inch wide Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires mounted on polished M/T wheels. There’s lots of refinement inside with leather and suede seats, charcoal wool carpet, power windows, and air conditioning. You control this radical but easy-driving rig through a polished half-wrapped steering wheel on a tilt column and Lokar shifter.
