Vehicle Description

A highlight in Maxmotive’s Pittsburgh showroom, here’s a 3-year, professional frame-off build completed by Larry Green. this 1955 Chevrolet 210 2-door sedan has been driven only 3380 miles. It’s mini-tubbed to help achieve that perfect stance. You’ll also see a well-prepped 355 small block Chevrolet by Tony Baker Racing Engines. It’s fuel injected with a FAST fuel management system, and breathes through a set of Brodix aluminum heads. A complete custom dual exhaust system features coated Hooker Competition Plus Headers. It generates an easy 425 horsepower. The engine compartment is beautifully dressed with custom fabbed polished aluminum valve covers, custom hoses, and a big aluminum radiator augmented by twin electric cooling fans. The body was acid-dipped to get it super clean, blocked and sanded and then treated to a generous helping of high gloss Nissan red paint. The mini tubs allow the use of monster P295/50R15 BFGoodrich radials in back, which are paired with matching but much smaller P195/60R15s in front. The car sports a complete Ride Tech air ride suspension with a four-link setup in back and tubular A-arms with drop spindles to get the nose down. The goal is the perfect hot rod attitude. Mission accomplished. It’s almost as if the polished American Racing Torque Thrust wheels just fell into place. The choice is a natural. The car is not only supremely driveable, it’s comfortable and even luxurious. Power steering, power four-wheel disc brakes and air conditioning are all part of the package. The Custom Rod Gauges instrument pod with tach fits the dash beautifully, and is functionally informative. Other modern amenities include a Kenwood sound system complete with Bluetooth, Rain Gear electric wipers, and an Ididit tilt steering column. Wayne Bower put together the custom Soft Beige interior with a hand-formed metal center console. The handsome and functional console neatly houses a B&M QuickSilver shifter for total control over the 700R4 transmission, along with a pair of A/C ducts, HVAC controls, and the stereo head unit. This outstanding 1955 Chevrolet 210 Sedan pays proper homage to a revered classic hot rodding style with updates and mods to make it an even more enjoyable street machine.
