This wonderfully nostalgic V8-powered 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-door Sedan is now available in the Maxmotive Pittsburgh Showroom. Presented in its original colors of India Ivory and Twilight Turquoise, this ‘56 is set up to cruise. And all the sheetmetal is original save for one rocker panel. A 350 small block, .040 over with a 400 crank yields a torquey 385 cubic inches. On top is a Holley 4-barrel on an aluminum intake along with the appropriate polished Chevrolet air cleaner and valve covers. Coated Patriot headers send the exhaust through dual pipes, Flowmaster mufflers, and chrome tips. The interior features a split-back bench seat and is mostly original save for the traditional hot rod mods of a handsome 3-spoke,wood-rimmed steering wheel plus triple gauges under the dash. There’s also an Autosound stereo system with the head unit installed in the stock position. The transmission is a Turbo 350 refreshed by TCI. It’s so fresh, in fact, that a transferable warranty comes with it. Cooper white letter radials with US Mags alloy wheels endow the car with the proper street cruiser attitude. In the trunk, which is strikingly original, is a period-correct spare.
