1963 Chevrolet Impala 2dr – U0689
Vehicle Description
In 1962 the Beach Boys scored a huge hit saying nothing can stop my 409. In 1963, this Impala was built. Did you ever put off looking at a car because you thought you might be disappointed? That brings to mind a 1964 Beach Boys song – “Don’t Worry Baby.” With all the new components and hardware everywhere you look, it’s gratifying to see the thoroughness that went into this restoration. It’s very apparent that the body and frame were not touching during the project. Key suspension components, the brake reservoir – with a new proportioning valve – and new hardware throughout invite you to keep looking. The visual treats begin under the hood with the father of the big block, the legendary 409. When you start it, this engine has a don’t-mess-with-me attitude you’ll just love. It’s coupled to a Hurst Shifted 4-speed (like the song says). The interior is black vinyl and it will take you back to the ‘60s. Everything is as it should be. Plus, Autogage oil and water gauges are right where they belong under the dash. Take the helm with a handsome and comfortably thick woodrim three spoke steering wheel. With your other hand on that Hurst white shifter ball, you are in command. Open the trunk and it’s more of the same. The trunk is extra clean including mats and contains a spare tire, wheel, and a jack. The Impala has been an important car for Chevrolet and for the car culture in general since its introduction in 1958. This 1963 is an outstanding example of the breed. It brings unaltered classic lines, the classic hot rod red color, all the right upgrades, and the thorough restoration that such a car deserves. The time and effort has been put into it so you can get the most out of it. It’s ready for you to enjoy.
