1970 Chevorlet Chevelle SS

MaxMotive is proud to present one of the most desirable muscle cars of all time, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. An original SS 396, it has been upgraded to enhance performance and driveability while maintaining the iconic personality and appearance of the car. The first upgrade is a 4-bolt main 454 V8 with Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads. On top is a Holley four-barrel feeding into a Holley open-air aluminum intake manifold. An example of the thoroughness of the build is the exhaust system. The spent gasses are scavenged through chrome headers into big dual pipes with a crossover pipe. It then flows through Flowmaster mufflers and all the way out the back to stock appearing bright tips. In fact, the entire undercarriage is neat and clean. A 5-speed manual transmission provides an extra gear for optimum performance off the line and on the highway. None other than a Hurst T-handle executes the shifts. A 12-bolt rear axle gets the power to the wheels. Autumn Gold Metallic paint with painted-on SS stripes in black work with the 14-inch SS wheels to maintain the original look. A new Cowl Induction hood completes the look, while all the other sheet metal on the car is original. The legendary original look continues inside with black vinyl bucket seats and door panels by Legendary Auto Interiors, along with a 3-spoke SS steering wheel. The car features power steering and power front disc brakes. A closer look reveals that the rotors are drilled and slotted. Not four, but five BFGoodrich radial tires come with it including a full-size spare.
