1970 Chevrolet El Camino Utility

This recently restored and very desirable big block 1970 Chevrolet El Camino is now available in the MAXmotive Pittsburgh Showroom. A thorough restoration was completed in 2020, and the vehicle has only been driven about 500 miles since. Under the black-striped Cowl Induction hood lives a 454 cubic inch V8 that has been bored .030 over with new Sealed Power pistons. On top is a Quadrajet carb that was treated to a complete overhaul and a recalibrated fuel curve. The engine rebuild was performed in 2016, and there are about 1000 miles on the rebuild. Restoration and service receipts are included. Bottom line is great performance; and this Camino is a pleasure to drive with power steering, power front disc brakes, and a Turbo 400 automatic transmission. The third member is a new 12-bolt Positraction unit with 3.55 gears. The vehicle sports its original color Cranberry Red exterior paint and a black vinyl roof. The interior is filled with nice features. First of all, it’s air conditioned, and the system is charged with R134. In the dash is a factory tach and an electric clock, plus temp and amp gauges. On the tilt-adjustable column is a 3-spoke Delux steering wheel. Power windows and locks add further convenience and luxury, plus there’s a factory AM-FM push button radio. Between the bucket seats you’ll find a center console with floor shifter. This fine example is detailed down to the hood pins. You may notice one deviation from stock. An increase in attitude comes from a decrease in altitude. The suspension is dropped 2 inches in front and 1 inch in back for a killer stance. Air shocks are used to reduce complexity and to restore height when needed. This outstanding 1970 Chevrolet El Camino is show worthy, road worthy, and ready to go.
