An L82 350 has been treated to an Edelbrock carb on a Weiand intake and tube headers, all lit by an MSD 6A ignition box and Accel Super Coil. A striking custom blue metallic paint scheme with stinger striping highlights a functional L88-style hood scoop. Other custom work consists of molded in bumpers and a custom rear wing. The taillights are custom too, and the original lenses come with the car. A beefed Turbo 400 is not only up to the task of handling the torque, with its shift kit and 2500 rpm stall converter it gives the car a quick launch and a high performance feel in automatic or manual modes. The Corvette luxury side comes through with power steering, tilt column, power windows, and power door locks, while the sound system has been updated with a Custom Autosound CD Radio. Handsome and very comfortable gray cloth seats make long drives a breeze. The brakes and suspension have been freshened with new hardware, and the car handles great. The classic theme is completed by rallye wheels with trim rings and spinner center caps plus white letter Goodyear Eagle II tires. 1978 was the Silver Anniversary of a legendary nameplate, and the first year for the new fastback roof.
