Vehicle Description

Here’s a Toyota FJ-40 Land Cruiser that packs an extra punch — as in a punched out Chevy small block. A 383 cubic inch Chevrolet stroker motor provides extra firepower for on or off road action. A proven Edelbrock 4-barrel feeds the fuel through a Holley aluminum intake. Spent gasses exit via a set of thermo-wrapped exhaust headers. The wrap is a great idea, not only for safety, but to keep the engine room as cool as possible for max performance. Speaking of cool, a hefty aluminum radiator up front keeps the engine temp in check, and a transfer case cooler mounted amidships is testimony to the thoughtful engineering on this FJ. Another bonus under the hood is not one, but two Optima Red Top AGM batteries. Backing the power plant is one of the most trusted trannies in any performance or heavy duty application, the mighty GM Turbo 400. You call the shots via a Hurst ratchet shifter with the T-handle positioned just right for fast gear changes. Of course, the two-speed transfer case is on board for climbing and crawling. The truck’s serious business attitude carries over into the interior. Yes, the aforementioned shifter is right there in the center, and you take your cues from a dash-mounted AutoMeter tach. A full roll cage provides safety and stiffness, and full racing safety harnesses keep you in the seat. There’s even a first aid kit onboard. A Bluetooth and Satellite radio ready Sony AM/FM/CD stereo runs through roll cage mounted speakers. (They’re right over your head so you can hear the tunes.) In the back are dual facing rear seats so you can bring the gang. This FJ has power steering with tilt, and power disc brakes. It’s the perfect shade of blue with a black interior. Big 35×14.50-15LT Mickey Thompson Baja Belted tires on blacked out aluminum wheels complete this on/off road hot rod FJ-40.
