Here’s a 1986 Chevrolet S10 Pickup featuring a who’s who of aftermarket and speed equipment upgrades, and it’s now available from the MaxMotive Pittsburgh Showroom. The truck is loaded with goodies from Edelbrock, Holley, MSD, Hedman, B&M, Grant, Auto Meter, Optima, and Weld Racing. The small block Chevy engine starts with a 350 block and is fed by the tried and true Holley four-barrel and Edelbrock manifold combination. On top is a big K&N air filter in a chrome housing. An MSD box and Blaster coil light things up. Exhaust exits via coated Hedman Hedders and Flowmaster mufflers. So yes, you’ll love the sound. Power is transmitted through a Turbo 350 automatic to a 10-bolt rear with 4.10 gears. A beefy B&M ratchet shifter allows you to shift aggressively in manual mode, or run it in Drive. This beautiful 1951 Chevrolet Custom Pickup was treated to a complete body-off build and is ready to drive off the MaxMotive Pittsburgh Showroom floor. The original sheetmetal is bathed in a custom shade of medium silver blue. A rebuilt 5.3L LS V8 engine was chosen for power, coupled with a 4L60 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. The body was removed and a complete Heidts chassis with coilover shocks was slid underneath. The all steel body retains its original proportions. The firewall was smoothed and painted body color and a rich wood floor graces the bed. Fine details abound such as the buffed and polished exhaust system. The cabin features vintage look electronic gauges with performance pages. You can measure such things as 0-60 and quarter mile times. It features the smooth and torquey 390 cubic in 4-barrel V8 engine coupled with Ford’s reliable and silky Cruise-O-Matic transmission. The sound is fabulous, and so is the launch. A Turbo 400 automatic transmits the torque to a 12-bolt rear with 4.10 gears. All the original charm is intact from the 200ci L-Head inline 4 cylinder engine, to the floor shifted 3-speed manual transmission, to the wire wheels, to the iconic rumble seat and of course the ah-oo-gah horn. It has been driven approximately 5000 miles since the restoration. Two-tone paint in chicle drab with black fenders is accented by yellow pinstriping and wire wheels. The interior presents as original with a handsome cloth seat and the correct dash and gauges. The odometer reads 96615 miles. For safety, seat belts were installed with patented mounts and the tailights feature LEDs for extra visibility. A chrome luggage rack with wood trim enhances luggage capacity as well as appearance. The car rolls on Goodyear All Weather tires. A Ford Motor Company Model “A” Instruction Book provides facts and figures as well as operating and maintenance tips.
