With 389 cubic inches of V8 engine, and a 4-speed Hydra-Matic transmission, the drivetrain was muscular and ahead of its time. MaxMotive is pleased to offer this exceptional one-family-owned 1970 Chevrolet C10 Stepside Pickup in our Flagship Pittsburgh Showroom. It not only has been well-maintained and cared for, but some upgrades make it even better to drive. The truck was taken down to the frame, and the frame was painted and the body was painted 1991 Ford Vermillion, a nice shade of red with a deep character. It has the original cab, hood, front fenders, bumpers and bed with fiberglass rear fenders and steps. Handsome cherry hardwood was used for the bed floor. For driveability a 1979 Chevrolet 305 V8 was installed along with the corresponding 3-speed metric automatic transmission (also owned by the same family). The 12-bolt positraction rear end now contains 3.14 gears, which provide plenty of acceleration, but allow better highway performance and economy. The grille, door handles, and emblems were all replaced in keeping with the fresh look of the truck. It also has an aluminum radiator, fresh exhaust, steel spoke wheels, and white letter SUV radials for driveability and dependability. In the 1970’s a new top of the line option package was available for the coupes as the d’Elegance edition. The Saturn Sky was initially released by GM as a 2007 model. The Sky concept was shown at the 2005 North American International Auto Show, with the production version following at the 2006 show. The Sky featured 18-inch (457 mm) wheels and a 2.4 L Ecotec LE5 I4 engine that produced 177 hp. As well as a new straight-4 2.0 L turbocharged direct injected engine that made 260 hp. A Red Line model of the Sky was introduced on April 11, 2006 at the New York Auto Show. It used the same 260 hp turbocharged Ecotec engine, as well as the same standard 5-speed manual transmission. An automatic transmission was optional. The Red Line had a standard torque-sensing limited-slip differential, standard StabiliTrak stability control, and an enhanced sport suspension over the standard Sky. Other exterior enhancements included dual exhausts, 18-inch wheels, and a specific front fascia modeled for the Red Line. On the inside, the Red Line had a special leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, special embroidery on the seats and floor mats, metallic door sill covers and stainless steel pedals, special tachometer and gauges, and a digital boost gauge in the Driver Information Center plus a complete host of power accessories.

The Mercury Eight is an automobile that was marketed by the Mercury division of Ford between 1939 and 1951. The debut model line of the Mercury division, Ford slotted the full-size Mercury Eight between the Ford Deluxe model lines and the Lincoln. In total, Ford assembled three generations of the Eight (before and after World War II). The new body featured door bottoms that flared out over the running boards, allowing for wider seats and interiors. Although Mercury’s prewar history was short, the Mercury Eight had already earned for itself the image of being a fine performer in mph as well as mpg, this “hot car” image quite in keeping with its name. The Mercury Eight was strongly identified as an upmarket Ford during this period.

The revolutionary Ford Mustang caused a sensation when it went on sale April 17, 1964, as a 1965 model. All three body styles: coupe, convertible, and fastback wowed onlookers, but the sporty coupes were the top sellers. Almost sixty years later, these early Mustang coupes are still universally admired and sought by collectors.
MaxMotive is proud to present this new addition to the Pittsburgh showroom. This 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe comes with Ford’s great 289-cubic inch small-block V-8 with a two-barrel carburetor. This engine was a $128 option over the base six-cylinder engine. This example is backed by the C4 automatic transmission and a conventional rear end fitted with 2.80:1 gears. The first-generation Mustang featured an independent front suspension with upper A-arms, coil springs, lower strut-stabilized control arms and tubular shocks. The solid rear axle featured leaf springs and tubular shocks. The beautiful Wimbleton White paint shows very well and is a perfect complement to the burgundy interior.
