This absolutely gorgeous 1955 Ford Ranch Wagon had a thorough restoration completed in 2017, and we are proud to display it in the Maxmotive Pittsburgh Showroom. In the early 1950s, the era of the wood-bodied station wagon was ending. When Ford introduced a redesigned line of cars it gave wagon buyers the first all-steel wagons in the firm’s history. These were the Country Sedan, a four-door model and the Ranch Wagon, which was a new two-door model, inspired by the European-term shooting-brake. The Ranch Wagon had either the standard six-cylinder engine or the long-familiar flathead V8, which was optional.
This example is believed to only have had 2,136 miles since its restoration in 2017. The original engine has been replaced with a rebuilt 289 V8 from a 1966 Mustang. From the winningest name in racing, here’s a rare 2009 Ford Mustang Roush 429R Coupe with just 20678 actual miles which we are proud to offer for sale from the MaxMotive Pittsburgh Showroom. 2009 was the only year for the 429R and only 100 were produced. And just 21 of these were Torch Red Coupes. This example (#70 in the series) has had two careful owners, and the comes with original owner’s package including the helpful and informative Roush 429R Mustang Owner’s Guide Supplement. All the Roush goodness is here starting with the Chrome Powder Coated Roushcharged Powertrain System with a very driveable 435 horsepower and a usable 400 lb/ft of torque. The engine builder proudly stands behind his work with his signature appearing on an underhood plaque. There are some upgrades including BBK long tube ceramic coated headers with high-flow cats, a larger Ford Racing throttle body, Steeda heat exchanger, and a Roush Performance Pulley kit. At one time in automotive history, cars that raced in NASCAR actually bore a resemblance to cars available to the public. The famous slogan “Win on Sunday, sell on Monday” was truly the reality in showrooms. Between 1986 and 1987 GM made a slight change to the Monte Carlo’s design, and that was the sleek fast-back style rear window. To be eligible for NASCAR, however, GM had to sell at least 200 cars. Those 200 cars have become some of the most sought after collectible cars in the world. This aero coupe is not one of those 200 but it is indeed one of 6,252 ever made. The Lamborghini Aventador SV – which stands for SuperVeloce, or super-fast was launched in roadster form for the 2016 model year with a production run of only 500 units worldwide. It receives the same carbon-fiber weight saving treatment as the SV coupe, dropping its weight to 3,472 pounds, a reduction of 110 lbs over the standard Aventador Roadster. Its downforce has been dramatically improved by the addition of a fixed rear wing, optimized diffuser, and new front splitter. It features a two-piece carbon-fiber folding hardtop that can be stowed in the front trunk compartment. The same 6.5 liter V12 used in the standard Aventador lurks below the louvered glass engine cover, backed by a 7 speed single clutch ISR Transmission capable of 50 millisecond shifts. The SV model gains an extra 49 hp thanks to a revised exhaust system, valve timing, and intakes. The total horsepower climbs to 740 at a screaming 8,400 rpm, but torque remains the same at 507 lb-ft. A Haldex Generation IV 4WD system helps take advantage of all that power. For suspension the car features an adaptive magnetic damping pushrod suspension that can be adjusted from a smooth touring ride, to a stiff race acclimated setting. To bring everything to a stop the car utilizes a set of giant carbon-ceramic brakes that nestle behind the 20” front and 21” rear wheels respectively lined with matching P255/30ZR20 & P355/25ZR21 tires. Add all that up and you get the recipe for a car that grips harder, and pulls more G-force than most will be able to handle, with a blistering top speed of 217 mph. From the door panels to the dash, the interior surrounds you with carbon-fiber and Alcantara at a level of craftsmanship that you would expect is reserved for only the top echelon of bespoke vehicles. The race style carbon backed sport buckets offer a surprising level of comfort while still offering enough support to keep you in place on those tight turns.
