Here’s a full-tilt, uncut 1967 Ford Bronco with plenty of know-how supplied by Wild Horses Four Wheel Drive, now at MaxMotive in Pittsburgh. Under the hood is a classic 289 fortified with an Edelbrock carburetor on an Edelbrock Performer 289 intake. The mixture is fired by an MSD Ford Pro-Billet distributor and exits via tube headers to a complete dual exhaust system with X-Pipe. A 3-speed automatic transmission works in tandem with an Atlas transfer case. The Atlas features fully independent front and rear drive synchronized shifting.
The Bronco also features a roll bar – a Best Top Traditional Bikini Top is included – and aluminum slot wheels wrapped in big BFGoodrich 31×10.5R15LT All-Terrain T/A tires. It was finished in 2006 and has been driven just 1850 miles since. Among the upgrades is a 302ci V8 engine with an Edelbrock carburetor on an Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake, and ceramic coated headers with a complete dual exhaust system. It adds up to 405 estimated horsepower sent through an automatic transmission to a 3.54 rear axle. Power front disc brakes bring it back to a stop. This amazing 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS, an original rust free SS 2-dr Coupe from Arizona, was treated to a comprehensive frame-off rotisserie restoration, and is now available at the MaxMotive Pittsburgh Showroom. The same owner cared for the car for the last 44 years and drove it only about 50 miles since the restoration was completed in January of 2017. The results are simply stunning. Every fastener, every seal, and every gasket has been addressed. A complete drivetrain rebuild was performed on the 327ci/250hp V8 engine, the Powerglide automatic transmission, and the 3.08 rear axle. All new suspension components were installed along with new exhaust, brakes, brake lines, and fuel lines. An original SS 396, it has been upgraded to enhance performance and driveability while maintaining the iconic personality and appearance of the car. The first upgrade is a 4-bolt main 454 V8 with Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads. On top is a Holley four-barrel feeding into a Holley open-air aluminum intake manifold. An example of the thoroughness of the build is the exhaust system. The spent gasses are scavenged through chrome headers into big dual pipes with a crossover pipe. It then flows through Flowmaster mufflers and all the way out the back to stock appearing bright tips. In fact, the entire undercarriage is neat and clean. A very unique, historic 1979 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe with a special pedigree is now available from the MaxMotive Pittsburgh Showroom. The car was formerly owned by Donna Mae Mims, an SCCA racing champion and an executive secretary at the fabled Yenko Chevrolet in Cannonsburg, PA. Donna became known as the “Pink Lady,” as that color was a trademark of her race cars. She was such a renowned and beloved figure in the racing and automotive scene that, according to Wikipedia, she was portrayed by Adrienne Barbeau in the 1981 movie, Cannonball Run. More than just a “pretty face,” Donna Mae Mims won her first race in 1960 driving a Corvette, she actually drove in the Cannonball Run in 1972, and in an interview with LA Times’ Jack Smith, she talked about her racing mindset. “I remove all my makeup,” she said. “You’re only out there for one thing. To win. Nobody remembers second place.” Her association with Yenko Chevrolet is part of her legacy. The car is a 1979 Corvette Coupe in Donna’s trademark pink, with an airbrushed image of another famous blonde, Marilyn Monroe, on the hood. It runs and drives as you would expect from a car associated with Yenko. Its 350 small block is fortified with an Edelbrock 4-barrel and an Edelbrock aluminum intake. Here’s a ultra-low mileage, highly optioned, and very special 2006 Chevrolet SSR Convertible Pickup now offered for sale from the MaxMotive Pittsburgh Showroom. 2006 was the final year for the SSR and this example is from the Final Production Run as indicated on a special badge on the interior waterfall. It was built during the final two weeks of SSR production. And it’s well preserved, as the odometer reads a mere 116 miles. As a 2006 with the Tremec 6-speed manual, its 400 horsepower is the most ever produced on an SSR from the factory. Adding to the special nature of the vehicle is the Bright Chrome Package – offered as an option only during the 2006 model year. With this package, every trim piece inside and out is chrome adding an exclusive custom feel to the SSR. It provides a beautiful blend with the Ricochet Silver Metallic exterior paint with body-color running boards. The wheels are the chrome versions as well. Impressive performance comes courtesy of the 6.0L LQ9 Supercharged Flex Fuel V8 engine. On top is a Magnuson Supercharger capable of delivering up to 18 pounds of boost. Trick Flow 225 Heads, a Holley 105mm Throttle Body, and a custom cam for this boosted application round out a well-sorted-out tune. A full custom 3-inch dual exhaust features American Racing headers, and an electric cut out allowing you to completely bypass the mufflers. The transmission is also up to the task as it has been fortified with a Hughes Performance steel direct drum, a TransGo reprogramming kit, a Sonnex case bushing, a Suncoast Master Rebuild Kit with power packs, and a high performance Kevlar front band. It feeds the power through a NVG-149 transfer case to 4.10-geared diffs fore and aft.
