The classicness continues with a 350ci small block Chevrolet V8 engine pumping out an estimated 450 horsepower through a Turbo 350 transmission to a 9-inch rear with 3.50 gears. On top are twin 500cfm Edelbrock carburetors The foundation is a body and chassis by the legendary Downs Manufacturing, with a straight axle front suspension, four-link rear suspension, and 4-wheel disc brakes. The body sports a hand-crafted all-aluminum hood with louvers. Harley Davidson Typhoon Maroon makes a nice contrast to the beige vinyl interior. Here you’ll find a Stewart-Warner tach and gauges and a quick release steering wheel for easy entry and exit. Under the split-opening hood is a 1966 318 V8 engine with an Edelbrock Street Performer intake and a Carter AFB carb on top. The TorqueFlite automatic transmission paired with the 318 is also 1966 vintage, and was rebuilt in the summer of 2024. Another nice touch in the comfort department is the air conditioning. The power team consists of the original 3.5L High Output 24V V6 and a 4-speed automatic transaxle with Autostick and lockup converter. This sporty 1986 Corvette Convertible is now available at MaxMotive. The L98 fuel injected 350ci engine is original and all stock with the addition of MSD ignition. It runs smoothly with great throttle response. It’s teamed with the 700R4 automatic transmission. The original Dark Red Metallic exterior paint covers the body, to which a ground effects package and a rear wing have been added. Completing the look are chrome American Racing 5-spoke aluminum wheels with drilled and slotted rotors and Corvette caliper covers behind them. Air conditioning, cruise control, and 6-way power driver seat are all original equipment, while a Sony stereo was added. The original Graphite leather interior with digital dash looks and functions great as does the white soft top. 275/35ZR18 Michelin Pilot Sport ultra performance tires contribute premium handling and appearance to the car. The fresh 355ci small block has been balanced with the clutch and flywheel, and fitted with Wiseco forged flat top pistons and a steel crank. A special grind Sig Erson cam activates Harland Sharp roller rockers. On top, a 750cfm Holley carb feeds an Edelbrock Victor Jr intake and Bowtie heads. Hooker headers send the exhaust out through dual pipes, and the sound is just right. A four-speed manual transmission with Hurst T-handle shifter adds to the vintage muscle vibe. The interior has the classic Camaro feel with a full set of Dakota Digital gauges and a Custom Autosound radio seamlessly integrated into the dash.

The fresh build has been driven approximately 40 miles; in fact the digital speedometer has not yet been calibrated. The paint is a beautiful Marina Blue, combined with the black vinyl interior and rally wheels, delivers a classic Camaro look, and a functional cowl scoop adorns the hood.
