Description

Featured at our Maxmotive Pittsburgh showroom is this re-imagined and re-engineered 1936 Ford Overland 4×4 Sedan. Recently completed from the fertile imagination of Jason Ludwin, this genuine all-steel ‘36 Ford sedan even has its original frame albeit “re-crossmembered” to accommodate the Jeep 4×4 hardware. Plenty of power emanates from a Fitech fuel injected 5.3L LS V8 backed with a dependable Turbo 350 automatic transmission. From here, it’s off-road time. The power flows through a Jeep XJ 231 transfer case to a Dana 30 diff in front and an 8.8-inch Ford axle in the rear. A substantial lift accommodates massive 35×12.50R17LT AMP all-terrain tires on trendsetting Dirty Life wheels. Rad Flow air shocks look as great as they work. There are drilled and slotted disc brakes at all four corners controlled by a Wilwood master cylinder. The paint is a House of Kolor concoction – Toyota TRD Quicksand, flattened for a low-gloss, off-road appropriate appearance. You can camp in the 2-person Body Armor tent mounted on top. Other special equipment includes an on-board air compressor, and two batteries. Mounted on the Body Armor front bumper is a mighty 5500lb Mile Marker winch. The car is so well detailed that even the rope matches the color motif. A second battery backs up a 100w power inverter, and a CTEK charger is built in too. Keep moving with a 20-gallon fuel cell and a Northern aluminum radiator. The interior in a vehicle like this needs to be durable as well as attractive. The black and orange cloth upholstery fits the bill along with a handsome Forever Sharp steering wheel and easy-reading Velocity white face instruments. The shifter is by Summit, and a polished Wilwood brake pedal accompanies the polished accelerator. Rough Country LED lights brightly illuminate the trail at night and look great in the daytime. A creative build that is just as at home on a custom show turntable as it is in the wild, this 1936 Ford Overlander 4×4 Sedan combines attractive details with exceptional functionality. We recommend that all buyers who are unable to view a vehicle in person have a pre-purchase inspection done prior to purchase. Inspections can be performed by an independent party selected by the buyer. Due to the age and uniqueness of these special vehicles, it is difficult to cover all aspects and characteristics of each vehicle’s condition within the limited space available. Thus, pre-purchase inspections are helpful to all parties involved. The information provided for this vehicle is presented to the best of our knowledge, and is deemed reliable. But MAXmotive does not warrant or guarantee this information as a basis for purchase. It is the responsibility of the buyer to make a thorough inspection to determine the suitability of the vehicle prior to purchase.
