The engine, transmission, and body are all what the car was born with. Open the scooped hood to see the Thunderbird 312ci 4-barrel V8 engine with those gorgeous finned valve covers. The engine bay presents nicely and close to original down to the FoMoCo windshield washer reservoir. The Ford-O-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission was rebuilt in 2012. The paint is the original color, Raven Black. It has some cracks and crazing, and there are blemishes in the sheetmetal. All chrome and trim are present with age appropriate wear. A highlight is the Continental rear bumper with spare tire, tire cover and matching wheel cover. Inside, the seat cover and the carpeting appear as new as does the dash cover. The dash and gauges are all original save for the AutoSound radio. The original radio is included with a generous supply of extra parts that go with the car. It starts and runs great with its new battery. Plus, a thick stack of invoices and service receipts come with the car as well as numerous service manuals, including the 1956 Ford Car Shop manual in both printed and CD form.
