Powered by one of Ford’s all-time best engines, the 4-bolt main 351 Cleveland, the car offers great performance with reliability and ease of service. It’s capable of 6000 rpm yet has plenty of torque for easy around-town driving. Another major world-class component is the ZF 5-speed synchromesh-plus-reverse transmission integral with limited slip differential assembly. A classic gated shifter with the exotic car look and feel graces the center console. Black leather bucket seats, a full array of blackface analog gauges including the factory tach and a 200 mph speedometer maintain the exotic feel inside. Factory air conditioning and power windows offer comfort and convenience. The Pantera is a true monocoque sheet-steel coupe body, designed in the famous Ghia studios. Monocoque construction provides high strength and stiffness with lighter weight, and was first seen in Formula 1 racing. A fully independent coilover suspension and four-wheel power disc brakes keep you in control. The striking yellow exterior paint is original; only the black front bumper has been refinished. 15 inch DeTomaso Campagnolo wheels, a unique and distinctive design, are the crowning touch to this original, well-preserved survivor. It rides on staggered v-rated (as per factory specifications) Kumho radials. The noble concept of a Ford V8 in a European sports car gave us the Cobra. Then came the Pantera.
