1975 Datsun 280Z – U0508
Vehicle Description
This striking 1975 Datsun 280Z packs a punch mechanically as well as visually. It’s packing a built 350ci Chevrolet engine and a tuned-for-performance 700R4 transmission. Featured in the Maxmotive flagship Pittsburgh showroom, the engineering, workmanship, and appearance of this super Z is truly outstanding. Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads highlight a healthy build with an Edelbrock 4-barrel, EPS Performer aluminum intake, and MSD ignition. Hooker ceramic coated headers, custom pipes, and Flowmaster mufflers lead to a stealthy single chrome outlet. The engine compartment is fully painted and detailed. Topping it off are Billet Specialties black valve covers and air cleaner for a modern, professional appearance. Estimated output is a stout yet reliable 400 horsepower. The beefed 700R4 automatic provides reliable performance and consistency in a straight line, with a shift kit giving you authoritative shifts and extra control for track work, autocross, or spirited street performance. The third member is an R200. For handling, the suspension has been restored with new components where necessary. No true performance package is complete without the right braking system, so this Z has power disc brakes all the way around. Custom bucket seats with red stitching and adjustable bolsters are really comfortable and look great. A MOMO steering wheel also looks great and gives you tremendous control and solid feel. Air conditioning and a custom sound system keep you comfortably entertained. The high quality of the build is certainly evident outside. You’ll notice the fit and finish is excellent throughout and the paint is smooth and shiny. Subtle touches like LED headlights, custom molded rear bumper and spoiler kick it up a notch visually. 280Zs were and are popular cars with many fans due to their clean sporty lines and spritely performing 6 cylinder engines. You’ll know as soon as you fire it up that this 1975 Datsun 280Z (nicknamed 350Z for it’s V8 power) is indeed something special in terms of looks, performance, and quality craftsmanship inside and out.
