This 1979 version is one of 5,118 made in 1979. In 1979 there were some appearance upgrades compared to the 1978 models. This 1979 Lil Red Express has the flat hood and dual square headlights versus the 1978 models. The D150 is powered by a 5.9L 360 V-8 engine, paired to a 727 3 speed automatic transmission. The exterior of the truck is distinctly set off by the gold lettering, wood paneling on the bed side and tail gate, and the iconic vertical exhaust stacks. Chrome front and rear bumpers match the side stack exhaust. The inside cabin has the 85 MPH speedometer that debuted in 1979. A red bench seat, paired to red door panels completes the trucks beautifully appointed age appropriate interior.
