1986 Chevrolet Corvette

This sporty 1986 Corvette Convertible is now available at MaxMotive. The L98 fuel injected 350ci engine is original and all stock with the addition of MSD ignition. It runs smoothly with great throttle response. It’s teamed with the 700R4 automatic transmission. The original Dark Red Metallic exterior paint covers the body, to which a ground effects package and a rear wing have been added. Completing the look are chrome American Racing 5-spoke aluminum wheels with drilled and slotted rotors and Corvette caliper covers behind them. Air conditioning, cruise control, and 6-way power driver seat are all original equipment, while a Sony stereo was added. The original Graphite leather interior with digital dash looks and functions great as does the white soft top. 275/35ZR18 Michelin Pilot Sport ultra performance tires contribute premium handling and appearance to the car. It comes with the original Owner’s Manual plus a two-volume set from Gordon Killebrew, a former GM employee now considered the world’s foremost authority on late model Corvettes. Only 26 percent of 1986 Corvettes built were convertibles, after a drop top hiatus since 1975.
