1988 Chevrolet C1500 Shortbed

Now featured in the Maxmotive Pittsburgh showroom is this sharp 1988 Chevrolet C1500 Silverado Shortbed Pickup. It’s been restored front to back and is believed to have been driven only 11008 miles since. A smooth monochrome motif in bright red sets the tone. The door handles have been shaved and the bumpers, grille, door frames, and mirrors are all in red for a tasteful, modern, custom look. The doors can now be opened with slick solenoid openers. The rear bumper is rolled and molded in and the tailgate latch was moved inside to smooth the look from the back. Ground Force Lowering Systems provided the hardware to give the truck a 5-inch lowered stance. A 5.7L small block with an Edelbrock carburetor on a polished aluminum intake makes ample power. An HEI distributor lights the mixture and a new dual exhaust system sends it out, with a smooth, mellow tone. A smooth-shifting 700R4 automatic transmits the torque to a 3.42-geared Positraction rear end. As a Silverado, this truck has many comfort features including air conditioning, power windows, and cruise control along with a comfortable two-tone red and black interior. And the original Service Parts Identification Plate is in the glove box. A JVC audio system with CD and USB port fits neatly in the dash, and the instrument panel has a bright custom plate. Built to be driven, front end pieces such as shocks, brakes, etc. are all new. Even the fuel tank is new. Another clever mod is the hidden frame hitch behind the license plate with an extended receiver and ball. To finish off the view from the rear: LCM turn signal lights. A handsome black vinyl cover protects the bed. The perfect mild custom finishing touch is the 15-inch chrome Legend 5-spoke wheels with Cooper Cobra white letter radials.
