MaxMotive is pleased to offer this sporty 2011 Sterling RX Targa, a personal vehicle of Sterling Sports Cars CEO. Power comes from the venerable 1600cc VW flat 4 mated to a four-speed manual transmission with a Scat t-handle shifter. The foundation is based on the venerable VW pan chassis, along with more modern suspension technology and four wheel disc brakes. The suspension system includes dual A-arms in front and a four-link setup in the rear among other upgrades. This example was featured in Kit Car Builder and Hot VW magazines plus much of Sterlings own promotional and advertising literature. The sleek body is formed with a high quality hand-laid resin that circumvents the characteristic scent of lower quality resins, and then coated with PPG Atomic Blue Metallic exterior paint. Open the hydraulic cockpit door to see the black leather bucket seats, flat bottom Grant steering wheel, a stone gray pebble grain dash with a complete gauge package including tachometer, a back-up camera monitor, and an iPod dedicated sound system.
