This 1966 Ford Mustang Hardtop is 289 powered and is now available in the MaxMotive Pittsburgh Showroom. The engine was treated to a rebuild in 2017 according to the owner. It sends the power to a 4-speed manual transmission with a Mr. Gasket shifter with T-handle, just like “Dyno Don” Nicholson used in his legendary Pro Stock Maverick. The engine compartment has a business-like attitude with its black block, Edelbrock open-element air cleaner, and Power by Ford finned aluminum valve covers. An aluminum radiator was added for dependability. The white exterior paint is augmented with a Mach 1 matte black hood treatment including the hood scoop, and a custom tail light treatment. Mustang GT features include the striping, badges, gas cap and dual exhaust outlets. The black vinyl bucket seats are from the desirable Pony Interior. In keeping with the GT theme, the wheels are seldom seen Cragar G/T units wrapped in radial tires. A classically modified street machine, this 1966 Ford Mustang Hardtop is ready to gallop. Be sure to see the detailed photos at www.maxmotive.com.
*MAXmotive specializes in collectible classic and custom vehicles. We have more than 200 vehicles in our collection and have sold dozens nationwide and even overseas. We recommend that all buyers who are unable to view a vehicle in person have a pre-purchase inspection done prior to purchase. Inspections can be performed by an independent party selected by the buyer. Due to the age and uniqueness of these special vehicles, it is difficult to cover all aspects and characteristics of each vehicle’s condition within the limited space available. Thus, pre-purchase inspections are helpful to all parties involved. The information provided for this vehicle is presented to the best of our knowledge, and is deemed reliable. But MAXmotive does not warrant or guarantee this information as a basis for purchase. It is the responsibility of the buyer to make a thorough inspection to determine the suitability of the vehicle prior to purchase.
