Vehicle Description

This all-steel 1932 Ford Pickup is done up in late ‘50s style and it’s available now from the MAXmotive Pittsburgh Showroom.  Powered by one of the truly legendary hot rod engines, the 1954 331ci Hemi, it has the look, sound, and feel of a classic California street rod. The engine is believed to have been driven just 24000 miles, and is all original save for the aluminum intake, Holley four-barrel carb, and a set of coated tube headers.  The exhaust is routed through a custom system with Smithy Original mufflers and big chrome outlets. The body is channeled 2½ inches over a gennie TCI 1932 Ford frame for that killer stance.  And for extra room inside, the cab was stretched 1¾ inches.  It was then coated with a mirror-like black paint job.  The drivetrain is suitably stout for a Hemi hot rod with a 727 Torqueflite transmitting the power to a Currie 9-inch Ford rear axle with superbly streetable 3.00 gears.  This very stylish build has several distinguishing features.  Among these are the big commercial headlights, suicide doors, ‘37 Ford taillights, and a beautifully upholstered bed with a separate battery compartment.  The cab is a nice place to be with its black ultraleather seat, pretty white Lecarra steering wheel, and billet Lokar shifter.  The dash houses a full complement of black-face Auto Meter gauges.  Appropriately, the tach is column-mounted.  Like the original, the windshield is hinged, and the side windows come in a protective pouch so you can install them if you like.  The mostly exposed front suspension is all chrome, and the steelie wheels are shod with chrome 1940 Ford hubcaps.  Staggered size vintage style Firestone rubber finishes off the ‘50s vibe.  And this mean-looking 1932 Ford Pickup is complete and ready to enjoy.  See detailed photos of this exceptional rod at www.maxmotive.com.
