1962 Chevrolet Nova Convertible

Rumbling into the Maxmotive Pittsburgh showroom is this beautiful and well-engineered 427 powered 1962 Chevrolet Nova Convertible. The car is fast and fun to drive. The fun factor is all the more enhanced as the build was completed with strength and safety as prime considerations. More than ample power and torque gushes from a big block Chevrolet 427 with an Edelbrock carb and Edelbrock Performer intake, MSD ignition, and coated headers. The big block is bolted to a Tremec 5-speed plus a scattershield. The car is completely tied together with frame connectors and square tubing. The reinforcements include a crossmember with a hefty drive shaft loop. A Heidts front end with tubular A-arms and rack pinion steering provides solid handling. In the back is a 4-link rear suspension with coilovers and a Positraction rear axle with cruise-friendly 3.23 gears. A handy item is the rear differential cover with a drain plug. It’s finned aluminum for better cooling and appearance. Power 4-wheel disc brakes give the car stopping power appropriate for this level of performance.
