We are excited to offer this numbers matching 383-powered 1970 Plymouth Road Runner in our MaxMotive Pittsburgh Showroom. The High Performance Road Runner Engine is one to be reckoned with. It brings the heads, cam, low-restriction exhaust manifolds, and oil pan windage tray of the 440 plus heavy duty valve springs. Its 335 horsepower rating equals that of Ford’s vaunted 428 Cobra Jet. Teamed with the Heavy Duty Automatic Transmission, it’s a formidable combination. The Road Runner also gets heavy duty shocks and heavy duty 11-inch power assisted drum brakes. Drums are preferred over discs by drag racers by the way. The car is exceptionally clean in and out, top to bottom thanks to a thorough restoration. It was refinished in its original EV2 Tor-Red exterior paint. The same color code is called Hemi Orange on a Dodge. The hood is accented with black stripes, and the famous dust trail striping adorns the sides. The body panels are all original too. The black vinyl interior features bench seats with white piping along with the handsome and functional Rallye dash complete with a Tic Toc Tach. This Beeper allows you to travel in comfort with air conditioning and power steering. And as if to complete the look of a true icon, the car rides on 15-inch rallye wheels with white-letter Goodrich radials. A decklid mounted wing tops it off. This outstanding 1970 Plymouth Road Runner was added to our inventory by popular demand, so here’s your chance to own a real muscle car legend. See detailed photos at www.maxmotive.com.
*MAXmotive specializes in collectible classic and custom vehicles. We have more than 200 vehicles in our collection and have sold dozens nationwide and even overseas. We recommend that all buyers who are unable to view a vehicle in person have a pre-purchase inspection done prior to purchase. Inspections can be performed by an independent party selected by the buyer. Due to the age and uniqueness of these special vehicles, it is difficult to cover all aspects and characteristics of each vehicle’s condition within the limited space available. Thus, pre-purchase inspections are helpful to all parties involved. The information provided for this vehicle is presented to the best of our knowledge, and is deemed reliable. But MAXmotive does not warrant or guarantee this information as a basis for purchase. It is the responsibility of the buyer to make a thorough inspection to determine the suitability of the vehicle prior to purchase.
