The SRT-10 is famous for its 8.3L (505 cubic inches!) all-aluminum V-10 generating 500 naturally aspirated horsepower. All that power and a stout 525 lb/ft of torque are transmitted through a Hurst-shifted Tremec T-56 6-speed manual transmission to a Dana M60 HD/248mm rear with 4.56 gears and anti-spin differential. The factory’s Performance Vehicle Operations didn’t stop with the drivetrain. They lowered the suspension and equipped it with Bilstein shocks. They also spent some time in the world famous Chrysler wind tunnel and employed some aero tricks gleaned from the NASCAR truck series to optimize high-speed handling. Some of the more visible products of the aero research are the unique front fascia and the rear wing. The driving experience brings plenty of comfort as well as performance. The split bench seat is leather with preferred suede trim. The cabin is kept comfortable with dual zone climate control, and occupants are entertained by an Infinity powered AM/FM/6-disc CD sound system with subwoofer. The designers didn’t forget the details as you’ll find a handsome satin silver instrument panel bezel, door lock knobs, and window switches plus lighted sun visor vanity mirrors.
