A mint example with only 552 careful miles, this unique ultra high performance and ultra luxurious Benz offers high-end content and world-class technology. With input from Mercedes Benz’ own Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton, the company’s AMG racing branch developed the AMG GT entirely in-house. Powered by an authoritative 550 horsepower 4.0L Bi-Turbo V8, it is an extremely engaging automobile with five driving modes. They are Individual (which lets you blend characteristics of the others), Comfort, Sport, Sport +, and Race. You can even adjust the sound of the exhaust. Paddle shifters allow you to operate the AMG Speedshift 7-speed Dual Clutch Automatic Transmission manually. The AMG GT C is a world-class sports car in its own right, but to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of AMG, 50 of these special editions were offered. The 50th Anniversary Edition adds the matte Designo Graphite Gray Magno exterior finish; forged gloss black cross-spoke AMG wheels; black chrome front splitter, fender vent fins, and side skirt inserts; plus black chrome rear diffuser trim and black chrome exhaust outlets. The interior gets silver pearl and black Nappa leather diamond-stitched upholstery, AMG black chrome interior trim, an AMG full Dinamica suede-covered steering wheel (and roof liner), and AMG Edition 50 badging. Burmester High End sound fills the cabin, Mercedes’ optional Parktronic system aids with parking, and the Distronic option is an autonomous cruise-control system. There are many delightful features not found on many cars. The top of the steering wheel is marked just like a Formula 1 car and it’s connected to an electrohydraulic steering rack. The engine and transaxle mounts are electronically controlled to provide an optimum blend of comfort and precision. And there’s a “Handcrafted” badge on the engine cover with the personal signature of the AMG technician who assembled the engine.
